Your
horoscope will be more detailed and accurate if you read all
three of your signs - your Moon sign, your Rising sign, and
your Sun sign: What
are your Signs?
Your Moon sign symbolizes your personal
self, your feelings, your subconscious. It symbolizes how you relate
to others, how you have nurturing relationships with others, your intuition,
your spiritual self, your sense of security, and your habits. The Moon
symbolizes your feminine, nurturing side (we all have one).
The Moon also indicates the type of partner you will attract, since
it symbolizes your emotional self.
Your Moon sign horoscope will show you what these areas of your self
will encounter this month.
Your Rising sign symbolizes your outer
mask, the self you show to others. It symbolizes how you appear to
others, how others perceive you, in your true interaction with the
world.
Your Rising sign horoscope will tell you what to expect in these areas
of your self this month.
Your Sun sign symbolizes your Self, your
way of being in the world. It can represent both the ego (mental) self
and the higher Self (soul purpose). It symbolizes your will and sense
of vitality.
Your Sun sign horoscope will tell you what these areas of your self
will encounter this month.
Aires (March
20 - April 18) Fire. Ruling planet Mars. Top
Opportunity
knocks, Aries. Situations have accumulated and now it's
an entirely different ball game. You are reviewing your
commitment to service and your understanding of the beyond,
and how completely that understanding influences your daily
life after all. You have been gathering up your changes
for the past year or more, so that the time has come for
action. It begins deep inside your soul and seeks its outlet
in the world of outer manifestation. Is it an illusion
that you can emerge from this period of transformation
into a simpler and more viable world? Only time will tell.
As the month begins, you are filled with energy, ambition and hope for the
future. Some of this could be an illusion but as the song says "you might
as well try." As your vision develops, other people figure prominently
in its unfolding – both because partners provide perspective and because
the ideals that are driving you now involve service to the greater collective
that surrounds you. It is possible that your relationship with significant
persons in your life will be instrumental in measuring your own progress over
the next few weeks and months, as in some ways you make a departure from all
that you have known. It is important however that as you move forward into
new conditions you do not entirely abandon previous foundations. You are what
you are, even as your essence morphs into new forms in response to a changing
world. Nothing alive is static.
With the Full Moon of Saturday evening, October 3rd, you are seeking a balance
point that includes other voices as well as your own into the mix of energy
swirling around you. You are seeing the future unfolding before your eyes right
now in a new way, and with a new degree of softness to it. This is a time when
the spiritual significance of what you are currently engaged in will come more
fully to the fore, and when the agency of the information of others will be
instrumental in finding your own way through to an idealized sense of future
possibility.
The Last Quarter Moon taking place on the following weekend, on Sunday, October
25th, might represent a kink in your progress but provides much food for thought.
This is traditionally a time of mixed blessing, when what has not been able
to be manifested in the period stemming from the previous New Moon will be
revealed, and when you also come to important lessons concerning where you
are actually headed. While still important, partnership with others around
you becomes less of a focus as you optimistically chart your own future agenda.
The New Moon of Saturday evening, October 17th, represents another important
turning point for you. There is lots of fresh energy for important partnerships
in your life, and for your own personal creativity as well. You are looking
ahead at this time to a future you can really live with that includes Spirit
as an important part of the equation. There is a sense in which you realize
that relationship helps you to rediscover neglected parts of yourself.
As you continue your journey into the last two weeks of the month you will
find that important transformation continues to await you, along with increased
peace of mind as you break through the veils of illusion that keep you from
encountering your true Self.
Taurus (April
19 - May 19) Earth. Ruling planet Venus. Top
This is a glorious and somewhat uncertain time for you, Taurus. Your creativity
is reaching for a peak of excellence through the difficulties of achieving
it, and the question might be where to go next. Important soul-searching and
soul building over the past weeks and months have led you further along with
changes of attitude than you might currently even recognize. Now an amalgam
of inspiration combined with personal necessity is forcing your hand. It is
no longer a question of what you will become when you grow up but of how you
will grow into what you have secretly become.
As the month begins, you are riding the wave of energy from the recent New
Moon conjunct Saturn in your sector of self-expression. There are feelings
in the air of a powerful redefinition that could reshape your real-world presence.
You are also strong on service at this time. You are beginning to more clearly
see how collaboration with and assistance to the greater collective that surrounds
you forms an important part of a set of principles that you are willing to
live by. Your creativity is powerful right now, and leads you to expressing
your higher intention both artistically, and in communication with others,
keeping in mind this essentially spiritual bent.
The Full Moon that comes along on the first weekend of the month, taking place
on Saturday evening, October 3rd, marks a balance point, whereby the transformation
that you are undergoing, and that been in process for many weeks now, is facilitated.
This thorough-going metamorphosis involves not only your perception of the
world around but how you relate to others also, and how other points of view
can enhance your own. The opinions of others matter, of course, but only so
much in the long run. If you can manage to strike the delicate equilibrium
required you will be richly rewarded.
The New Moon that comes along two weeks later, on Saturday evening, October
17th, might once again tip the scales to the positive. This represents a powerful
time for you, stimulating great optimism and great idealism, especially regarding
your work in the world. You can see clearly your way into a better future.
This is a path that is optimistic and forward-looking for you and one where
you can definitely make your mark.
You are finding a sense of higher purpose in what you are accomplishing, and
nothing less will satisfy you at this time. Your enthusiasm is so great that
this idealistic sense of purpose, perhaps even bordering on a state of illusion,
becomes a driving force that can lead you ever onward. You are launching yourself
out into the world in a new way. You might need to look for balance once again,
so that your feeling of can do is also compensated by a healthy sense of limitation
and caution.
The last two weeks of the month will be caught up in the working out of these
ideas, punctuated by the First Quarter Moon of Sunday, October 25th, when tensions
might rise and when the agenda of your will pushes you even more strongly as
you attempt to amalgamate the views of others into your own. Resistance to
the process that you are going through is in the end futile, but it is also
to be expected, since resistance is a natural part of the human condition.
It just helps to be aware of it when it comes up, and to realize that the more
there is the more you will suffer. Sooner or later you will have to go over
the waterfall, so you might as well just hold your nose, point your feet, and
jump.
Gemini (May
20 - June 20) Air. Ruling planet Mercury. Top
You are emerging into a time of big doings, Gemini. Both your public and your
private life present you with hard work right now but for an important purpose
if you have the faith to see it through. You might feel stuck in some way with
home and family concerns, but there are important lessons to be learned there
as well as you sort things out. Patterns are changing in important ways and
you do well right now to go with the flow rather than trying to resist. Something
old and something blue may yet remain, but likely also to be transformed utterly
in the light of a new dawn.
As the month begins, you are finding your way through the residue of issues
that were raised at the time following the most recent New Moon, during the
last two weeks of September. This could easily involve dealing with polarities
continue to arise concerning the dichotomy between public and private in your
life. In the public sphere you are innovative, even restless, and eager to
move past previous limitations. Yet something holds you back. You've been feeling
stuck perhaps, certainly conflicted, with home and family concerns or your
own issues of internal security very important to you right now. These might
be holding you locked into a pattern that you might be unable for the moment
to transcend. There is a sense of movement but also inhibition from movement.
With the Full Moon that comes along on Saturday evening, October 3rd, a point
of balance is reached. You are beginning to break through, to leap creatively
between the horns of your dilemma. At this time, Spirit is key. You are very
idealistic at this time, allowing you to escape at least mentally from the
exigencies of practical reality. Film or travel is one way that you might choose
to break the barriers of your caged condition. This permits you incorporate
other points of view, allowing for a third possibility.
With the Last Quarter Moon of Sunday, October 11th, you are looking for the
consciousness to achieve your objective with a minimum of trauma. The accumulated
wisdom of the past three weeks will be your guide. The New Moon of Saturday
evening, October 17th, provides fresh energy and new perspectives of where
you might ultimately be headed. You are expressively creative, even artistically,
creative at this time and making many a communication breakthrough with others
around you. This is a time of innovation that trumps being stuck and rigid.
Possibilities continue to unfold for you right now, to the extent that you
can open your mind and your heart to them. A complex integration is taking
place within you.
Over the last two weeks of the month these ideas will play themselves out and
lead you to the overwhelming question of your own ongoing transformation, whereby
you must leave behind all that doesn't serve you. It's a question of integration,
and of balance, a trust fall with your eyes open as you yield to the grace
of the surrounding cosmos. The universe supplies the answers that you need,
just when you need them.
Cancer (June
21 - July 21) Water. Ruling planet is the Moon. Top
You are pulling yourself through, Cancer. The lessons of the past few weeks
and months have taken their toll and left their mark, leading to important
life lessons which when mastered presage clearer sailing. Relationship is formative
and transformative for you right now, and leads you to a new vision of what
you could concretely manifest in terms of higher mind connection with others.
Nothing is quite the same as it was, and yet everything remains, only altered
in the light of a new day. In the second half of the month, new initiatives
on the home front lead you into wild-eyed exuberance and the ability to embrace
changes that all of a sudden seem inevitable.
As the month begins, you are feeling the expansive insight generated by multiple
points of view coming into your awareness, which might seem like an antidote
to a feeling of stuckness that has been pervading your communicative process
lately. You are moving through something major in this current monthly time
period, and the joy of mental or even physical travel might accompany this
sense of release.
With the Full Moon of Saturday evening, October 3rd, you are projecting yourself
out into the world around you in a new way. You are very sensitive at this
time and feel an almost psychic connection to people, and are also likely to
also experience a spiritual softness of compassion in the way that you relate
to others. There might be difficulty in making decisions, especially those
that affect arrangements and potential boundaries with those with whom you
are in relationship. If so, you can get amazing mileage out of letting go of
any particular agenda and simply letting the universe provide the answers.
The Last Quarter Moon of Sunday, October 11th, will no doubt provide further
food for thought in this regard. This is a time when the creative tension between
competing points of view has an excellent chance of working itself out in solutions,
and when your process of evolution has an optimistic texture. It has been tough
sledding in some ways over these recent weeks, and the difficult passage into
a different set of future options is far from over, but in the midst of it
all comes a feeling of grace.
The New Moon of the following weekend takes place on Saturday evening, October
17th, in your home and family sector, which corresponds to root psychological
issues also. This is the perfect time for a fresh start on forging a more secure
and better-integrated sense of self. There could be implications for redoing
your household in some way, either physically or energetically. Your sense
of tribe and familial connection with friends and close associates could also
get a boost. Your feelings of psychic sensitivity to others around you are
emphasized at this time, and although potentially confusing as far as intimate
relationships are concerned, there are likely to be benefits also in the way
that the arc of your development unfolds.
With the First Quarter Moon of Sunday, October 25th, there is again likely
be to some degree of tension in your process of increasing awareness, although
the momentum that you have gained will carry you through. Compassion and lack
of concrete definition are still very much in the mix for you right now. As
you work things out with significant partners in your life your way becomes
softer although less well-defined. Spirit has a way of smoothing out the hard
edges of your mentally constructed choices.
Leo (July
22 - August 21) Fire. Ruling planet is the Sun. Top
The season is shifting, Leo, sliding into fall, and you are moving right along
with it along the lines of your own arc of development. How you see the world
around you is morphing as new ideas shoulder their way into your established
system and potentially break you out of habit patterns that you may be ready
to outgrow. This value shift leads you into new territory this month as you
abandon the gratification of personal ego in favor of the possibility of service
to the surrounding collective. Your motto might be that you ask not what your
universe can do for you but what you can do for your universe.
As the month begins, you are in transition from a time of relative stuckness
to one of greater ease and comfort, possibly through the agency of others.
It has been a difficult month just passed, what with Mercury retrograding through
your security sector, and you might have been sorely pressed. It is helpful
to recognize that nothing is ever wasted in the cosmic order of things, as
long as you can have the presence of mind to take the largest possible viewpoint
into account and resolve to profit from your mis-steps. Your mistakes, and
your difficult experiences, can be your greatest teachers and become in the
end an unalloyed blessing.
This month's Full Moon taking place on the evening of Saturday, October 3rd,
reminds you that the perspective of others complements your own in magical
and unexpected ways, stimulating imagination, and laying the tracks for the
reality train that follows to synch itself into place. Of course, in the midst
of the opinions of others around you, it is important that you find your own
voice as well as the openness to listening, since both are important. You are
seeking a new amalgam of heart and mind, self and other, service to the greater
collective and independence from that burden, all simultaneously. The difficulty
lies in allowing such a complex of viewpoints to equally manifest and the glory
and the paradox of the human condition is that it somehow can.
The New Moon of Saturday evening, October 17th, represents a fresh start on
this process of integration and self-development, one that could include communication
breakthrough if such was needed. You are attempting to make a stand for yourself
in seeing the world your own way, and might be very definite about that at
this time, which can be divisive, although less so the more you acknowledge
others at the same time as you assert your own take on things. An excellent
prescription for this time is to give others their due, making sure to listen,
and without judgment. Then be sure you feel right and go ahead.
The First Quarter Moon of Sunday, October 25th, is a powerful time for you
when there could also be a degree of tension in your process. You are finding
the private space inside yourself that is so vitally necessary for your own
sense of wholeness and yet you must somehow take others into account as well.
The dance continues.
Virgo (August
22 - September 21) Earth. Ruling planet Mercury. Top
It has been a difficult road these past few weeks, Virgo. But finding yourself
stuck in what you are attempting can become a godsend when you get it right,
providing lasting lessons. Angel voices, in the guise of close friends and
love mates, provide fresh information that breaks you out of your well-worn
track in surprising and unexpected ways. As you awaken to security needs now
become evident, and comprehend that the old reliable solutions don't seem to
be working anymore, you have find a new basis. The way through is to stay the
course, and to accept it that your self-definition is altering, irrevocably
and at times joyfully, in the light of this emerging reality.
As the month begins, you are riding the wave of the New Moon from last month
that conjuncted Saturn in your identity sector. You might have been feeling
your responsibilities more poignantly than ever, but there is a sense of freedom
as well, and a longing to escape the bounds of your situation that may resolve
itself in new twists on existing relationships, or even perhaps different ones
that spring up suddenly in your life and remind you that it is not all about
keeping the bills paid and the chores done.
With the Full Moon of Saturday, October 3rd, you realize all this and more;
that life is taking you along some very interesting and soulful paths right
now, and that you are stretching in some novel fashion in response to changing
times, so that the arc of your current development will have many untold consequences
in weeks still to come. You are balancing issues of self and other right now
and while this can be a challenge, it is also very definitely a learning process
and there is joy in that unfolding.
There is also joy in the realization that spiritual necessity is pushing you
to accept a larger picture of your duties and your obligations that includes
a fundamental belief in service to the greater collective as an integral part
of what you are currently about. There might be some degree of confusion surrounding
your role in this scheme, as is natural for such a vast topic of consciousness
but it is certain that a sea-change is in the works for you, and for how you
manifest your self-expression into the world.
The New Moon that follows two weeks later, taking place on the evening of Saturday,
October 17th, may spark an entirely new trend for you in meeting financial
and emotional security needs, based on inner values rather than external ones,
and spiritual substance over material.
The final two weeks of the month will prove to be the working out in some form
of these ideas, with the First Quarter Moon of Sunday, October 25th, an important
turning point. There could be a period of tension at this juncture, as you
are forced to face what doesn't quite work in the evolution of your dreams
and schemes for a better future, and what might indeed be viable.
You are definitely on a roll these days, inventing solutions for yourself that
can remake the present moment into an alive and exciting one for you, and one
that takes Spirit firmly into account. When it comes right down to it there
is not much else that you can totally rely on, but there is always That.
Libra (September
22 - October 22) Air. Ruling planet Venus. Top
These days you are in the world but not of it, Libra. Partly in synch with
social norms you are also partly inhabiting a dream world all your own. The
recent retrograde passage of Mercury through your identity sector has kept
you guessing, but the fog lifts in the second half of this month. You will
emerge from your cocoon experience refreshed and more than ready to take on
the world, and to assume your butterfly persona. Every road, no matter how
long, has its turning and every night will eventually morph into glorious and
entirely hopeful dawn.
As the month begins, with one part of yourself you are actively engaged in
inner work, in the world but not of it. With another you are actually quite
lively and enjoying the world of people, places and things, especially people.
This is your time of the year to shine, and being very people-oriented in any
case, it comes as no surprise that the shine of your presence is enhanced by
the presence of others right now, and that you naturally enable others to stand
out in their own light also. Your activities at this time have a strong spiritual
component, so that there is an increase of intimacy all around, and most especially
within your very own mind and heart.
The Full Moon that comes along on Saturday, October 3rd, brings all these feelings
to the fore. You are likely to be mindful of issues of self and other at this
time, as you attempt to balance the onrush of energy both within you and outside
of you. These are complex times, and competing agendas abound in the public
sector and in your private life also. There are important consequences for
your connection with home and family that emerge out of all of them, and that
will become more obvious as the month draws to its close.
In this regard the Last Quarter Moon of Sunday, October 11th, represents a
key moment in the arc of development that you are currently following. Some
degree of tension could arise, as you face the consequences of previous actions.
You are attempting at this time to find the wisdom that comes from the shaping
of events since the previous New Moon, and the way in which these events have
shaped you.
The New Moon in your sign that comes along on Saturday evening, October 17th,
represents a fresh start. You are very involved at this time with the ideal
persona that you imagine for yourself, and have an optimistic take on that
concept. This is an illusion, true, but a beautiful illusion and it could spill
over into imagining as well the perfect partner. Your enjoyment of this idea
is only half fanciful, since it is possible at times for wishing to make it
so.
The last two weeks of the month will be spent in working out the concepts and
revelations that come upon you from the first half. While dreams of glory can
take you far, it is good if you can also accept the idea of change, whatever
that may bring, and be prepared to accommodate yourself to the realities of
your situation whenever they present themselves. That way you will never be
disappointed.
Scorpio (October
23 - Nov 21) Water. Ruling planets Mars,
Pluto. Top
Communication is key for you right now, Scorpio. You are coming to a different
understanding regarding your societal connection, and as you do the input of
other voices serves to balance your energy. You cannot help but include Spirit
into the equation. You are big on individual creativity right now, and this
serves to further your intense sense of purpose as you funnel your energies
into the surrounding collective. Preparing for greatness, you are nevertheless
hibernating for a spell, reflecting on recent changes. In the last week of
the month you'll reverse to being fiery and out in the world, and also more
serious than ever concerning your spiritual commitment.
As the month begins, you are filled to the brim with hopes and plans for a
better future for yourself and your loved ones, although you are simultaneously
feeling the limitations of practical necessity that might be putting somewhat
of a damper on those same plans. This carries over from the last two weeks
of September. It's a bit of a push-pull, where part of you longs for freedom
from constraint, and yet part of you also feels the need to hang on to it.
Although the situation might not get any easier as it develops into the current
month, and could perhaps become even more confusing, you will make progress
by surrendering, and that part gets easier and easier the more involved you
get. It's like letting go of the steering wheel and finding to your surprise
that the car steers itself just fine instead. There is no need to stress over
contingencies or even to do much actual planning, letting go is all that is
needed.
By the time of the Full Moon taking place on Saturday, October 3rd, this might
become almost second nature, or else reach a delicate and delicious place of
resistance within you, depending on how you handle it. Your thought now has
the power to transform what seems impossible, through adopting a different
point of view. You are seeking a way to a better feeling of safety and security
in your home setting, through a subtle and often confusing process, and perhaps
even finding it.
With the New Moon two weeks later, taking place on Saturday, October 17th,
there is renewed energy for this process and for striking out in a different
direction with it all. There is also likely to be some periods of tension leading
up to this time, perhaps the tension of the resolution of different points
of view. You are feeling very private at this important juncture, which also
sets the tone for the next two weeks, and on into November. There is a way
in which you are enlisting Spirit to your aid at this time, and it takes going
to the inside to seek answers to unobvious questions, and also coming to a
better idea of where you want to go when you exteriorize it.
In the last week of the month, kicked off by the First Quarter Moon of Sunday,
October 25th, you are well on your way to a better level of integration. This
could be a tricky and a tension-fraught time, when conflicts might easily arise,
but when creative sparks can also that you may well profit from.
Sagittarius (Nov
22 - Dec 20) Fire. Ruling planet Jupiter. Top
Your roller coaster ride continues, Sagittarius. If you feel like your life
is in flux right now you are right on target. Your work is a major component
of course, just as it has been over these last few weeks and months, and your
personal life, especially on the home front, is another. All these things are
coming to a head in this current timeframe, as you sort out your priorities
in the aftermath of the Mercury retrograde period. After the mid-month New
Moon you have the opportunity to go further with your dreams for a better and
more integrated world for yourself and your loved ones than you ever have before.
As the month begins, you are still feeling the powerful New Moon from the last
two weeks of September, which took place in your career sector. Your hard work
is beginning to pay off, but with the opposition to Uranus fully triggered
by this New Moon, you are also aware of polarities in your situation that might
be troubling to work out. Something could be changing unexpectedly in your
home setting, and you might have to be quick-witted to make the most of it.
It will be a mistake to stay stuck in prior patterns at this time, and an advantage
to move forward with new and innovative thinking.
The Full Moon that comes along on Saturday evening, October 3rd, might serve
to put the icing on the cake as far as these types of issues. You are seeking
a balance point, a way to operate smoothly in spite of difficulties. Others
in your life can be a hugely helpful factor in seeing your way clear. Your
communication at this time is optimistic and spiritually motivated, and this
goes a long way toward making the best of things and, where competing unpleasant
eventualities might loom, finding a third choice.
You are paving the way for the future right now and it helps to take the long
view of your circumstances. Your values are morphing and along with them your
downplaying of needs that are simply material. As you prepare to take the plunge
into a new phase that is a better fit for your future self you might morn the
loss of your rut or you might celebrate it.
The drop off the high board into the deep end of the pool could come as soon
as the second half of this month, kicked off by the New Moon of Saturday evening,
October 17th, in your sector of societal involvement. Plans at this time involve
soul-work as well as the merely mundane, and are important to get right because
your vision now will manifest as actual events during the remainder of the
year, and beyond.
As you go through these final two weeks, there could be surprising turns that
only seem to sidetrack you, since everything that is occurring is happening
for a good reason, and that reason is ultimately beneficial to both you and
the universe that surrounds you and sustains you.
Capricorn (Dec
21 - Jan 19) Earth. Ruling planet Saturn. Top
Your soul-level transformation continues into the current monthly cycle, Capricorn.
You have come a long road already but new vistas open up for you each time
you reach the top of your climb and are enabled to see the next ridge. This
time has perhaps more urgency to it, but the joy is there as well. You are
feeling your path before you with a greater sense of knowing and a greater
readiness for action. Your way is made easier by your laughter and easier still
when you can summon up the simple acceptance of What Is.
As the month begins, you are still making plans that essentially flow out of
the thoughts and events stemming from the powerful New Moon from the closing
weeks of last month. The dawning of a new idea takes time before it fully percolates
into your consciousness. As it does you are also likely to be absorbing the
results too from ideals and a dreamy sense of unreality that has been a part
of your awareness lately, and of your corresponding shift in values. You are
somewhat unfamiliar with non-definite solutions and suspicious of fuzzy notions,
but there you are anyway.
With the Full Moon taking place on Saturday evening, October 3rd, you are looking
for a feeling of integration and balance, and perhaps finding it. You are on
an extremely vigorous journey of self-discovery right now, changing at the
very core of your being, slowly or rapidly as the mood hits or events take
place, and this is the difficulty, and the glory, of your situation.
The Last Quarter Moon of the following weekend, that takes place on Sunday,
October 11th, represents a powerful time also, and perhaps a moment of tension
in your process of integration. This is the period that Rudhyar called the "crisis
of consciousness" that precedes the dawn of the next phase, a time when
you are gathering up the accumulated wisdom of the tumult of the previous three
weeks, and making a thoughtful determination of what has worked out from that
earlier period of the lunation cycle and what has not been proven to be viable.
You are optimistic at this time, and also more willing that before to take
in the opinions of others as input, although you are remain largely preoccupied
by your own agenda.
The New Moon of Saturday night, October 17th, in your career sector, may represent
a fresh charge for all manner of activities out in the world, and equally tunes
you in to softer and more subtle energies that are also an important part of
your makeup at this time. There might be sudden epiphanies that come upon you
during this weekend, or over the last two weeks of the month, and that serve
to focus your thinking in terms of adjustment.
Through all these recent events sound the drumbeats of transformation moving
around and through you, to the extent that by the end of the year you will
no longer be the same person. Of course this statement is true of every moment;
truly is it said that you can never step into the same river twice. The changes
and the challenges that you find coming your way at this end of month period
in particular and through to January and beyond are all part of life and living,
and accepting them as they come is vitally necessary to your continued happiness.
Aquarius (Jan
20 - Feb 18) Air. Ruling planets Uranus, Saturn. Top
It is all becoming perhaps even too clear, Aquarius. Through faith in your
process of increasing awareness, you are catching an inside look at the clockworks
of the universe, tick-tocking away in your own special direction. You are transforming
from the inside out to the extent that you dare to accept the inevitability
of change. You have been slowly coming to the realization that if the universe
has its own reasons, they are your reasons too, and in your best interest long-term,
and this idea makes more bearable the fluctuations of finance and your confusion
regarding your place at the table of your metamorphosis.
As the month begins, you are riding the intense wave of energy from last month's
New Moon in your sector of intimacy and personal evolution. It's an exciting
time to be alive. You are exploring new ways of being in the world, stretching
your wings, and at the very same time you are content to stay in your old familiar
rut even though you might feel a little stuck there. The lesson in this is
that you must move forward slowly, remembering that you are who you are, even
as you morph into a different and more self-fulfilled phase. This is a time
when you must embrace the paradox that nothing in human affairs is all one
way or another.
The Full Moon in the first weekend of the month, taking place on Saturday evening,
October 3rd, enjoins you to communicate your deepest truth to those around
you, and enables you to ascend to the higher ground of a better perspective
on your situation. With Neptune activated in your identity sector, you might
feel more than a little confused by recent changes, but you will gain and begin
to relax into your evolving destiny the more you can let go of demanding full
control over it. Your salvation right now lies in right action and in right
relationship to others.
A week later, the Last Quarter Moon of Sunday, October 11th, puts things in
a more optimistic perspective and gives you food for thought, as you begin
to really assess where you are heading and why, and what part of what you are
attempting must be abandoned in the light of the most comprehensive information.
With the New Moon of Saturday evening, October 17th, you are entering into
a novel way of seeing the world around you, and that perspective shift gives
you possibilities for adjustment into better fitting set of choices for yourself.
It's amazing what progress you can make when you let go of the steering wheel
and allow the vehicle of your life process to guide you rather than the other
way around. The final two weeks of the month will be your coming out party
as a more fully integrated although still somewhat puzzled member of the new
cultural identity that is materializing out of the wreckage of the past.
There could be a few moments of tension in the days following the First Quarter
Moon of Sunday the 25th, when you might most strongly feel the potential conflicts
of this emerging sense of self, but all in all you are ready to take your place
in the mandala of the times even if the ride is sometimes not an entirely smooth
one.
Pisces (Feb
19 - March 19) Water. Ruling planets Neptune, Jupiter. Top
This is an important season of change for you Pisces, and it's not so simple.
You are quite a mixture of inner and outer these days. Your spiritual center
is operating in high gear, pulling you away from the merely mundane affairs
of the world around you, but practical reality continues to assert itself,
perhaps in the form of partners in your life. You are feeling the contrast
between critical voices that urge you to conform and your own die-hard individualism
that rebels. You seek and might even find the elusive compromise that allows
you to progress along your naturally intended path with your dreams more or
less intact, and with a reasonable shot at enlightened forward motion.
As the month begins, you are still caught up in the whirlwind of energy from
last month's dynamic New Moon. The trick is finding innovative ways to prosper
and thrive in the midst of the tension of polarity. Something inside you is
urging you to get out of town and blast off into adventure while another part
that might easily be played out by partners in your life is urging you to stay
on track with plans and commitments. Yet another part of yourself just wants
to hide out and forget the whole thing. Forging a blend has not been easy but
it is possible, as you are discovering. You might be reveling in the equanimity
that comes from keeping your wits about you as you let go and let god, as they
say. The Two of Pentacles could easily be your favorite Tarot card right now.
With the Full Moon of Saturday evening, October 3rd, the balancing act reaches
one culmination. You are mediating issues of self and other, mind and heart,
action and passivity. Somehow the right blend will present itself and your
task is to be present for it when it does. There is a spiritual place inside
that is very alive for you right now. Even though this secret place corresponds
to more of a retreat from the world than an advance into it, this place and
this mode of operation actually does represent your best chance of getting
through with a cheerful countenance and with the best possible solution all
around.
In the same vein, the Last Quarter Moon of the following weekend, taking place
on Sunday, October 11th, might be a time when you can see your way clear to
reinventing yourself along more productive lines, letting go of everything
that doesn't serve your higher purpose.
The New Moon of Saturday evening, October 17th, could serve as a new beginning
in this way, a final adjustment. The last two weeks of the month will constitute
a working out of the principles that you have come to you during this tumultuous
first half. It may be that the time has come to act on your beliefs, and to
fully espouse your ideals, or at least as fully as is practical under the pressure
of modern day society.
During this entire month you are moved by the grace of inspiration as much
by the crush of circumstances, and when you pause to reflect on this simple
yet irrefutable fact, a beatific vision of glass-half-full rather than half-empty
can pervade your being. At times like this you are able to perceive that the
balance and the reunion within yourself that you seek is indeed only a gesture
away.
The
Astrology of October features Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto with
also a fading Mercury retrograde shadow period and an important mid-month
New Moon that aspects both Neptune and Uranus. The Mercury retrograde
period that just finished up at the very end of last month is still
with us, in a way, through the first two weeks of this month, since
Mercury has yet to regain its lost zodiacal ground. In this regard,
things will ease by the 10th when Mercury enters Libra, and again
by the 13th. While Mercury remains in Virgo over these first nine
days of October it hovers around its third and final contact with
Saturn, and its opposition to Uranus, bringing back a touch of the
Saturn–Uranus opposition that is still well within orb.
This means that not only will we be experiencing some of the usual symptoms
of the Mercury retrograde period such as missed and mixed messages as well
as mechanical and communication outright breakdowns, but we will also see a
rare form of enlightenment emerging from in between the rough spots when we
can allow ourselves the grace to see it.
Although the October 3rd Full Moon makes a wide T-square to Pluto, and is therefore
likely to stir us up in some fashion, emphasizing the amazing changes that
our lives are bringing us right now, this period of time might be felt as more
of a subtle shift and a harbinger of things to come rather than a sudden breakthrough.
Since Saturn is drawing ever closer in its forming square with Pluto, representing
the rock and the hard place, there could be the beginning phases of strenuous
events that reveal where something major has to give. This relatively dire
outlook is significantly ameliorated by the presence of Neptune in Aquarius,
which is the focal point of a very exact Yod or Finger of God formation from
Mercury and Mars. Our ideas are melding into altered thought forms that partake
of grace.
The New Moon of Sunday, October 17th is dramatic, with a close quincunx aspect
to Uranus from the Sun and Moon. Uranus and Saturn are still widely opposed,
with further exact hits still to come in April and July of 2010, and therefore
the push–pull of polarization of this combination is still to be felt
all through fall and more extremely by the springtime. This is the opposition
of stand of stodgy conservative approaches versus the clarion call of the new
and yet untested. In any such contest the smart money is on the new idea, constantly
breaking through in spite of every obstacle, but it can be very intense working
out the details. Since this New Moon also squares the nodal axis, this mid-month
period could in fact represent a time of tension in the process of integrating
these factors that continues through the following year.
The big astrological event in October comes at nearly the end of the month,
when Saturn enters Libra and closely squares Pluto. There might be fireworks,
as in the most recent prior instance of a powerful alignment between Saturn
and Pluto, when we had 9-11, the war in Afghanistan and the invasion of Iraq.
As a culture a nation and as individuals, we are being tested in these important
years leading up to 2012 and beyond, and the good news is that everybody passes.
How gracefully and with how much skin left on our elbows and knees is up to
us.
The best way to look at these climactic times is that something major in the
collective is ready to shift, and shift for the better, and that this same
dynamic applies to individuals also. We can choose to rise to the occasion
or languish in the doldrums of an outworn and outmoded past, and it is really
up to each one of us how we choose to move forward.
Current Moon Configurations
October 3rd Full Moon
This is an Aries Full Moon and as such it widely squares Pluto in Capricorn
making a T-square. We will definitely feel the transformative pressure somewhere
in our lives, the feeling that something has to give. Usually what needs to
change is the outmoded behavior that we have inherited from prior conditioning.
Letting go is the challenge and also the reward. There is at the very same
time a Yod or "Finger of God" pattern that forms momentarily to Neptune
in Aquarius, with the agency of Mars in Cancer and Mercury in Virgo. This symbolizes
that we are seeking adjustment in more practical terms of all our dreams and
illusions, and as well our hopes for a more inclusive and just society. Since
transiting Mercury is regaining its lost zodiacal ground there is a reflective
element that is also involved at this time, as we continue our journey toward
a better level of integration with ourselves and with each other.
October 11th Last Quarter Moon
This is traditionally a time of in-gathering of intelligence, preparing for
the next cycle. We are well aware by now of what part of the impulse from the
previous month has not worked out and ready to cut our losses in certain areas
and move on. Since Mercury has also finally re-entered Libra by this time there
is also very likely the feeling of a shift in what we have been holding back
and not allowing into action. This week before the New Moon reveals itself
could be viewed as opportunity to visualize what might be allowed to manifest
in the following four weeks of the next lunar month.
October 17th New Moon
This Libra New Moon is an exciting and powerful time, when fresh energy is
emerging for relationship with others, and when we also feel an idealized sense
of possibility for the fulfillment of social goals. We are being gently or
not so gently nudged into including Spirit as an important part of the equation.
This is due to the trine that this New Moon makes to numinous Neptune and expansive
Jupiter, in Aquarius, and the quincunx to volatile Uranus in Pisces. Uranus
and Neptune have been in mutual reception for many months now, meaning that
they each reside in the signs of the other's rulership, and we are pulled once
again into the rosy glow of possibility for a freer and more spiritually coherent
future, even if only for a little while. With four planets massing in Libra
we are feeling very inclusive of the opinions and the thoughts of others, and
this might even turn out to be a Good Thing.
October 25th First Quarter Moon
This First Quarter Moon, which Rudhyar called the "crisis of action" is
likely to represent a moment of tension in the development of the ideas that
were born in the New Moon time, and is truly the marker for when the rubber
meets the road in our progress. We are filled with the desire for action now,
and the need for change. We might have to move mountains in order to achieve
our still very idealized objectives but we are prepared to do so. We can bask
in this concept of future glory, represented by Jupiter and Neptune, but other
energies are also in the mix at this time in the form of Saturn which is in
the last degree of Virgo and about to move into Libra. The hard-nosed and difficult
side of life comes along to collect the dues that we owe to practical necessity.
This will be especially true during the last days of the month.
October 29th Saturn in Libra
As it does so it squares, within one degree of longitude, Pluto in early Capricorn.
This combination reads fireworks and the potential for confrontation and polarization.
Venus in Libra makes close aspects to Jupiter and Uranus, indicating that relationship
has a surprising power to heal us at this time. May it be so, helping us to
take the important steps that are necessary now, as we truly begin to birth
the new millennium.
