What Is NLP  (Neuro Linguistic Programming)?

~ NLP techniques allow you to change undesired habits, reverse negative self-image, or get rid of limiting beliefs quickly and very effectively.

~ NLP techniques use all 5 of your physical senses, and your emotions, to deeply imprint long lasting powerful changes in you, similar to hypnosis.

~ You will be able to achieve things after NLP that you never thought you could.

~ You'll learn to make better choices after NLP, have a more clear vision, learn to allow yourself to be truly excellent at things.

~ You'll learn how to open to intimacy, to have better relationships.

~ You'll find peace of mind, powerful self confidence, even self love using NLP.

~  You'll rediscover the FUN of life, and you'll do things much more easily.

~ Instead of your subconscious mind running you, you can run it!!

~ NLP shows you how to communicate with your subconscious, how to reprogram the  map  of  your brain.

"NLP is short for Neuro-Linguistic Programming.  The name sounds high tech, yet it is purely descriptive.

Neuro refers to neurology, our nervous system - the mental pathways our five senses take which allow us to see, hear, feel, taste, and smell.

Linguistic refers to our language ability; how we put together words and phrases to express ourselves, as well as how our 'silent language' of movement and gestures reveals our states, thinking styles, and more.

Programming, taken from computer science, refers to the idea that our thoughts, feelings and actions are like computer software programs.  When we change those programs, just as when we change or upgrade software, we immediately get positive changes in our performance.  We get immediate improvements in how we think, feel, act, and live."
~ Charles Faulkner, NLP pioneer, co-developer

"If what you're doing isn't working, try something different."
~ Dr. John Grinder, psychologist, co-founder of NLP

"NLP is an incredibly effective and enjoyable way to access more of the true potential of your brain...  (NLP) was one of the things that gave me my competitive edge."

~ Tony Robbins, famous motivational speaker, coach

"In Neuro-Linguistic Programming, we don't 'treat' patients; we give people lessons on how to think and make better choices...

~ Richard Bandler, psychologist, co-founder of NLP

NLP Basic Beliefs  -  10 Presuppositions:

1.  We are always communicating, even with our silence.

2.  The way you communicate brings a particular response.

3.  People respond to a perceived sense of reality, not to what's really going on.

4.  People always make the best choice available to them.

5.  All behaviors are constructive, have positive intent, in some way.

6.  Everyone usually has the resources we need to effect the change we desire.

7.  The element with the most flexibility (you) is usually the controlling element within a system.

8.  There are no mistakes, no failure, only feedback.

9.  Every experience, or behavior, can be chunked into smaller pieces, or larger pieces, to be more easily managed.

10. If what you're doing isn't working, do something else.

"NLP was initially created by Richard Bandler and John Grinder, who began modeling and duplicating the 'magical results' of a few top communicators and therapists (in the early 1970's).

Some of the first people to be studied included hypnotherapist Milton Erickson, gestalt therapist Fritz Perls, and family therapist Virginia Satir.  Since then, many others have contributed to the growth and development of the field...

Today, NLP is widely used in business to improve...achievement / performance, inter-personal skills... in education to better understand learning styles... and of course, NLP is a profound set of tools for personal development."

~ Tad James, PhD in Hypnotherapy, early NLP developer

What happens in NLP sessions?

First we identify the exact thing you wish to change, and we establish rapport.

Next, we explore your feelings about this change, what prevents you from making the change, your beliefs about it, how you perceive yourself, the things that you say and think about yourself, and more.

Then, NLP Techniques are used to deactivate and break down the things that prevent you from having what you want, and new ways of thinking and perceiving yourself are brought in so that you achieve your desired result.

You will have homework, so be prepared for that!  Homework involves being aware of your own behavior, substituting different behavior when you can, and using the techniques that you learn in the NLP coaching sessions.

Is NLP Fast?

NLP is said to be faster than other processes, because it changes how we think, changes how we respond to the world around us, and it does so by involving all 5 of our senses and our emotions in order to imbed these changes deep within our being.

This causes results to be relatively fast.

Is NLP common, or just a fad?

NLP is increasingly used in sports psychology to tap into peak performance.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming is commonly used in education for more effective teaching techniques.

Lawyers and police officers use NLP to understand how a suspect is thinking, how the suspect might be avoiding the truth, whether the suspect is lying, and more.

Physicians and nurses use NLP techniques to gain better understanding of a patients reactions, and to communicate more effectively with them.

How long will it take?

Most changes require 4 to 6 sessions.  There will be fun and empowering homework, things that you need to be aware of every day!  So, how long it takes is also dependent upon how much you participate in the homework.

painted trillium"About 3 months ago I was going through a lot and decided to give NLP a shot.  We did 5 sessions of NLP and my life changed for the better!  NLP helped me take my power back and feel in control of my life and the surrounding situations.  My family and friends started to notice the changes in me and they too are either doing NLP with Walter or doing so in the near future.

NLP really gets you to dig in deep and face your traumas/problems/whatever it is that you want to fix and helps you overcome them and be in control.  You have to be open with yourself and be willing to stay truthful and honest and I promise you, you won't regret your decision.

NLP brought me closer to my dearest family member who I've never been so close with in my entire life and you can't put a price on that, and I owe this to Walter and his amazing techniques and mentoring.  He has so much to offer, and so if you are reading this, know that the universe has guided you to him."
