______________________The Lovers is part of the 22 Major Arcana cards, which tend to have more influence, more intensity than the 4 Tarot suits. The number 6 in numerology means adjustment after change, compassion, and my favorite interpretation is opening to the Well-Being (Goddess, God, The Universe). The Archangel Raphael in the picture, with the massive glowing sun behind him, represents the Subconscious and being in tune with Spirit. The naked vulnerable woman is looking up at Raphael, clearly in tune with Spirit. Behind her is the Tree of the Knowledge of Good And Evil from the Garden of Eden, along with the Serpent of the senses, and fruits representing the physical senses, while at the same time she is in tune with the spiritual world. The naked vulnerable man represents reason, logic, and the flaming leaves behind him represent the 12 signs of the Zodiac. The man is looking at the woman, seeking spiritual guidance because she is wiser, as she's in tune with both the physical world and the realm of Spirit. The message in this card is that love, love relationship, deep happiness, are either already in your life, or they are coming very soon. The card speaks to people who identify as female, who know the physical world, but are in tune with Spirit, and therefore you are the wise one who best leads a love relationship. This card also speaks to people who identify as male, who are far more practical and worldly in their approach to love, and who can offer security, but who ideally are looking to the female to take the lead in making this a beautiful relationship. The Lovers Card also indicates important choices - between partners or prospective partners, between spiritual and practical, between being detached and being deeply emotional in love, or between any important choices in life.
