The battle – A scene from the novel, “They Came – Beyond Deja Vu”.
One day the orphanage kids are taken on another walk through the countryside. Some of the boys start yelling “they’re gonna start shooting!” and run ahead. Suddenly a deafening massive roar of explosions from giant cannons, machine guns, mortars, dozens of rifles, and huge AMX-50 tanks filled the air all around them!! Wolfi and Heidi have never seen such a thing and overtaken by fear.
Germany, shortly after World War Two. Wolfgang’s exciting train ride ends in a place called “orphanage”. He is unimaginably devastated! His heart screams Mama!! What did I do wrong?!
